Job Description

Our team is responsible for the development and management of editorial product features on on our client’s music streaming platform as well as responsible for managing editorial signals that power product features and personalization. We are looking for a short-term contract position to assist with our editorial taxonomy and tooling, Large Language Model editorial inputs, Search and content optimization and building out our content metadata for use in larger products and features.

This role involves working with data in Numbers and other tools to validate, pull, and analyze music-related data. Strong analytics and communication skills are essential, particularly for collaborating with editors to understand how to best use the data. The focus is more on understanding the music side (genres, trends) rather than AI (large language models).

Responsibilities:

  • Data Handling: Pulling, accessing, and analyzing data.
  • \n
  • Independent Work: Managing tasks with minimal supervision.
  • \n
  • Collaboration: Communicating with editors for insights and training others on how data is ingested by the engineering team.
  • \n
  • Research: Knowing how to find relevant information when unsure.
  • \n
  • Systems & Tools:\n

    • Excel (including pivot tables)
    • \n
    • Numbers

    • Training on all internal systems as needed

Experience:

    \n
  • Familiarity in working with and auditing large amounts of data
  • \n
  • Proficient in Excel and Numbers
  • \n
  • Passion and knowledge of a variety of music
  • \n
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • \n
\n

Ideal Candidate:

  • Interest and expertise in music taxonomy and curation
  • \n
  • Familiarity with Large Language Models
  • \n
  • Comfortable with large, cross-functional projects

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $50.72 to $56.36 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
