SHRM is seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Specialist, Paid Media to support our B2B and B2C paid media efforts. This role will be responsible for executing and optimizing paid media campaigns, ensuring alignment across multiple teams, and collaborating with third-party vendors to drive impact across SHRM’s key audiences. The ideal candidate will have experience in paid media strategy, campaign execution, cross-functional collaboration, and performance analysis. RESPONSIBILITIES Paid Media Strategy & Execution:

Develop, implement, and optimize multi-channel paid media campaigns across search, social, programmatic, display, and other digital advertising platforms to support both B2B and B2C initiatives. High-Impact Media Planning:

Identify and implement high-impact media placements, including sponsorships, native advertising, branded content, and premium inventory, to maximize brand visibility and engagement. Full-Funnel Strategy Alignment:

Balance upper-funnel brand awareness efforts with lower-funnel performance campaigns, ensuring an integrated and cohesive approach across all paid channels. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner closely with internal teams—including Content, Demand Generation, Brand, Product Marketing, and Events—to ensure paid media efforts align with broader marketing objectives and that all assets are delivered on time. Vendor & Agency Management:

Work with third-party vendors and media agencies to manage budgets, optimize performance, and explore new opportunities to enhance campaign effectiveness. Campaign Performance & Reporting:

Analyze campaign data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to optimize strategies, improve ROI, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders. Project Management:

Oversee the end-to-end campaign process, ensuring timely execution of assets, creative approvals, and launches while maintaining high-quality standards. Innovation & Testing:

Stay up-to-date with the latest paid media trends, best practices, and tools to test and implement new strategies that enhance engagement and conversions. Budget Oversight:

Assist in allocating and tracking budgets to ensure efficient spending across all campaigns. Emerging Ad Tech & Innovation:

Stay ahead of evolving ad technologies, including CTV, digital audio, AI-driven media buying, and interactive ad formats, to integrate new opportunities into SHRM’s paid media mix. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business, or a related field. Experience: 3-5 years of experience in paid media, digital advertising, or performance marketing, preferably in both B2B and B2C environments. Hands-on experience managing Google Ads, Meta (Facebook/Instagram), LinkedIn Ads, programmatic platforms, and other paid media channels. Proficiency in Google Analytics, paid media dashboards, and reporting tools. Experience working with third-party vendors, agencies, and internal teams to execute campaigns effectively. Experience in HR, membership organizations, or events marketing preferred. Familiarity with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Marketo, or similar Martech tools preferred. CERTIFICATIONS Certifications in Google Ads, Meta Blueprint, LinkedIn Marketing, or similar preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Strong understanding of audience segmentation, targeting, and campaign optimization techniques. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously. Ability to analyze data, extract insights, and recommend optimizations based on performance. Knowledge of A/B testing, conversion tracking, and attribution models. Excellent communication and organizational skills. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This position operates in a typical office environment and requires the ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. WORK ENVIRONMENT Hybrid Position (3 Days In-Office, 2 Days Remote): This position follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring in-office presence [three days per week] and remote work [two days per week]. Core work hours will be designated by the department. The office environment includes a standard workstation setup with collaborative spaces, while remote work requires a reliable high-speed internet connection and a suitable home workspace. Employees must maintain availability during standard business hours and adhere to company policies for both in-office and remote work. Travel: 0 – 10% The hiring range for this position is $83,000 to $95,000 per year. This range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. SHRM offers a competitive and comprehensive total rewards package.
