POSITION SUMMARY
:
Senior Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer plays a key role in shaping our digital engagement strategies. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing customer engagement journeys within Salesforce Marketing Cloud to deliver meaningful and impactful communications.
The ideal candidate is not only a technical expert in AMPscript, SSJS, SQL, APIs, and Journey Builder but also a collaborative problem solver who guides and empowers teams to make data-driven marketing decisions. They will work closely with marketing, CRM, data, and development teams to create seamless, scalable solutions that enhance customer engagement and retention.

RESPONSIBILITIES :
MARKETING CLOUD DEVELOPMENT & IMPLEMENTATION (50%)
Custom Marketing Journeys : Build and optimize personalized customer journeys using Journey Builder, Automation Studio, DESelect, and Contact Builder. Dynamic Content & Personalization : Develop AMPscript and SSJS solutions to create dynamic, personalized messaging tailored to user behavior and preferences. API & System Integrations : Implement REST/SOAP API integrations between Marketing Cloud, Salesforce CRM, and third-party systems to enable seamless data flow. Data Architecture & Audience Segmentation : Design and maintain Data Extensions, segmentation models, and automation workflows to ensure targeted and efficient marketing execution. Contact Count Management & Compliance : Monitor and manage contact count usage in accordance with Salesforce Marketing Cloud contractual agreements, ensuring compliance with licensing terms and preventing overages. Cross-Channel Marketing Automation : Implement email, SMS, and web personalization strategies for omnichannel engagement. Deliverability & Compliance : Ensure marketing communications adhere to CAN-SPAM, GDPR, TCPA, and other relevant regulations. SOLUTION DESIGN & OPTIMIZATION (30%)
Strategic Campaign Optimization : Work with marketing stakeholders to refine targeting, content personalization, and journey effectiveness through data-driven decision-making. A/B Testing & Performance Analysis : Conduct experiments on subject lines, messaging, segmentation, and delivery timing to improve engagement. Scalability & Best Practices : Advocate for modular, reusable, and scalable Marketing Cloud solutions that align with business goals and technical governance. Process Automation & Efficiency : Identify opportunities to automate manual marketing operations, reducing effort while increasing precision and consistency. Quality Assurance & Troubleshooting:
Proactively monitor campaigns, automation workflows, and data processes to identify and resolve issues before they impact execution. COLLABORATION, MENTORSHIP & GOVERNANCE (20%)
Technical Mentorship : Provide guidance and knowledge-sharing to marketing and development teams, fostering expertise in Marketing Cloud best practices. Cross-Team Collaboration : Work closely with marketing, IT, CRM, and analytics teams to align technology with strategic goals and ensure cross-platform consistency. Governance & Documentation:
Maintain clear, well-documented processes, including naming conventions, data management policies, and automation workflows. Stakeholder Engagement : Act as a trusted advisor to marketing and business stakeholders, helping them understand technical capabilities and opportunities within Marketing Cloud. Continuous Learning & Innovation : Stay up to date with Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, and industry advancements, proactively suggesting improvements and future-proofing solutions. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Education & Experience
Experience : Minimum of 5 years in Salesforce-focused roles with deep expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, AMPscript, SSJS, and automation workflows. Certifications:
Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer and/or Consultant certification preferred. Marketing Automation & Nurture Programs : Experience designing, developing, and managing nurture campaigns, list segmentation, and lead scoring. Salesforce CRM & Data Management:
Hands-on experience integrating Salesforce Marketing Cloud with Sales/Service Cloud, leveraging Marketing Cloud Connect and API integrations. Analytics & Performance Optimization : Proven ability to track and report on campaign performance, segmentation effectiveness, and engagement metrics. Solution Design & Development:
Expertise in designing and implementing data-driven, automated marketing solutions with Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Contact Builder. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Experience working with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions for personalized and scalable marketing automation.
