Have you got what it takes to succeed The following information should be read carefully by all candidates.Our studio is a boutique scale business, taking on only eight substantial projects per year, with an office in New York and in Miami. This job listing is for our Miami location, located in Coral Gables. We work on private estates as well as multifamily luxury developments. Currently we are seeking a self-motivated and collaborative design professional with 3-5 years experience in the industry. The position will be focused on producing design presentations which include layouts, floor plans, furniture plans, 3D imagery and involve coordination with studio project managers and project architects. We take a unique approach to design by developing intriguing, emotionally intelligent concept narratives to drive our design process. The idea is to captivate our clients by storytelling around the design of each project. Our studio is comprised of highly creative people who can use technical software as a medium to express design ideas to our clients.The studio is a fast-paced learning environment with top tier real estate developer clients and high-end private residential projects. Projects are located in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, The Hamptons, Hilton Head, Miami, and Sarasota.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture or equivalent experienceProficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch-Up, Microsoft Office, 3D modeling. Currently we use Rhino and LumionHighly organized & a strong communicator - this is criticalProactive and able to prioritize - keeping project schedules and client needs top of mind in order to work most efficientlyAble to understand your own capabilities and work together with team members to come up with the most creative solutionsKnowledge of material and furniture vendorsRevit knowledge is a plusResponsibilitiesCreate presentation content that is in line with studio brand, this means concept imagery, color palettes, rendered elevations, furniture plans, mood boards, etc.Support and understand project concept narratives; each project has a strong concept. Understanding and appreciating the art of storytelling is very important.Have a love and understanding of natural materials.Provide support for project managers (i.e., tracking project schedules & budgets).Sourcing materials and finishes that are appropriate for use with given budgets.Coordinating product information with vendors.Support design efforts by assisting in Concept Design, Design Development, and creating design drawings, ceiling plans, lighting layouts, and furniture plans.Assist with creating technical drawing sets and construction details.Spend time on jobsites taking field measurements and meeting with contractors.Organize and create content for design presentations for client meetings.Write specifications schedules and coordinate product information.Create furniture budget spreadsheets and aid in creating purchase orders.Participate in design presentations and client meetings.Aid in coordination with other trades.BenefitsHealth insurancePaid time offUnique boutique studio settingSalary range as per this job listing, but will be commensurate with experienceComp days for vacation, personal, and holidaysWork hours: 9-6 Monday – Thursday in studio, and 9-6 Fridays are work from homeStudio is closed for 1 week during end of year holidays in addition to PTOBenefits become available after 90-day probationary period
