What you’ll be doing
The Creative Director of Worship and Arts oversees the incorporation of music, drama, dance, and visual arts into the worship experiences of FIBC. This position reports to the Executive Director of Ministries.
You will be responsible for:
Providing vision and oversight for the Worship and Arts Ministry
Guiding the worship planning services
Giving oversight and shepherding of the Music Ministry (musicians, worship leaders, praise teams, choirs, song selection, parts, etc.)
Incorporating the arts into worship services where appropriate (drama, dance, visual arts)
Coordinating the ministry schedule of the various choirs/praise teams/individuals for worship experiences and special events
Overseeing equipment logistics
Overseeing copyright compliance
Attending staff meetings and leading worship team meetings
Developing the Worship and Arts Ministry budget
Establishing standards for worship activities and overseeing evaluation against those standards, as well as working with other staff members as appropriate to meet those standards
Collaborating with the Pastor of Family Life and other staff pastors and directors
Working with the Executive Director of Ministries to create a worshipful & hospitable culture
Other related assignments as needed
What we need from you:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field or related experience
Knowledgeable in the use of worship and arts and how they may be applied to the vision of FIBC
Experience in successfully leading and managing people and teams, including planning, team building
Experience directing choirs, and praise teams, and proficiency on at least one of the following: piano/keyboard, Hammond B3 Organ, bass guitar, or drums.
Experience developing and maintaining budgets and creating and managing operating plans.
Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a related church staff position

Salary and Hours
This is a part-time position ranging from 20-25 hours with a salary range of $25k-$30k per year.
