We are looking for an associate fashion apparel designer, boys & girls sizes 2 to 16.

JOB FUNCTIONS: Design branded children’s sportswear collections Perform market & trend research, plus understanding of competitive landscape Produce flat sketches, line sheets and visually pleasing CADs Create tech packs with full construction details Communicate with production department to manage approval process Attend fit sessions Collaborate with Sales for market knowledge Design new packaging & hangtags as needed. QUALIFICATIONS: 2+ years of experience in design, with focus on the children's apparel market Proficient in creating quick sketches for review with team Must be organized, self-motivated with attention to detail and high level of accuracy Excellent communication & follow up skills Adobe CC - Illustrator & Photoshop Strong knowledge of garment construction & fabrics Strong eye for fit and silhouette Must have high taste for fabrics Position is based in NYC office, 5 days a week Seniority level Entry level Employment type Full-time Job function Design, Art/Creative, and Information Technology Industries Apparel & Fashion
