Apply fast, check the full description by scrolling below to find out the full requirements for this role.ResponsibilitiesEssential Job Functions:Develop and implement a strategic communications plan for the conference/event, aligning with overall organizational goals and objectives.Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify target audiences and craft tailored messaging strategies.Create high-quality content for various channels, including press releases, blog posts, social media updates, and event materials.Ensure all communications are consistent with the event's brand and messaging.Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure coverage and enhance the event's visibility.Prepare and distribute press releases, media kits, and other relevant materials to promote the event.Coordinate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and timely updates regarding the event's progress.Prepare briefing documents and communication materials for internal stakeholders.Develop and execute promotional campaigns to drive attendance and engagement through various channels, including email, social media, and partnerships.Monitor and analyze communication metrics to assess the effectiveness of promotional efforts and make data-driven adjustments.Anticipate and address potential communication challenges or issues, implementing crisis communication strategies as needed.Manage any negative publicity or media inquiries professionally and effectively.Collaborate with event planners and coordinators to ensure all communication aspects are integrated into the event's logistical plan.Oversee the production and distribution of event materials, including brochures, signage, and digital content.
QualificationsNecessary Skills and Knowledge:Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.Strong understanding of media relations, digital marketing, and content strategy.Proficiency in using communication tools and platforms, including social media, email marketing software, and content management systems.Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.Proven experience (3+ years) in a communications role, preferably with experience managing large-scale conferences or events.US Citizen (able to obtain SECRET if needed)Preferred Qualifications:Experience with international or multi-day events.Knowledge of event management software and tools.Familiarity with industry trends and best practices in event communications.The salary range for this position is $50.00 to $60.00 per hour.Pay and BenefitsAt Goldbelt, we value and reward our team's dedication and hard work.
