Job Description
The role of music therapist will be to assess patient/family needs, develop a care plan in accordance with the interdisciplinary team, and implement the care plan based on individual needs. Music will be used to facilitate change and/or to maintain functioning to contribute to quality of life. The music therapist will continually update and revise the plan of care for patient/family regarding patient/family progress. The music therapist will consult with other team members on the therapeutic use of music; coordinate education in-services for hospice staff and the community at large; supervise music therapy practicum students and interns; and provide music support to enhance other programming and services throughout the organization.
Qualifications
Education: Master of Music Therapy required
Licensures/Certifications: Required: Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC), Licensed Practicing Music Therapist (LPMT)
Experience: Minimum of two years related experience
Skills
- Advanced knowledge of hospice philosophy
- Skill in oral and written communication
- Skill in listening, teaching, and public speaking
- Skill in working both independently and in a team environment
- Customer service skills
- Skill in computer proficiency, including working in electronic medical records
- Ability to develop associated treatment modalities
- Skill in time management and organization
Pay Range
$51,351.55 - $79,594.90
Final salary offer will be based on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, and alignment with our organizational needs.
