What You’ll Do
Continuously up-level our brand’s visual language:
Enact best practices for expressing a distinctive brand sensibility and bringing our product to life
Blend strategy and craft:
Tackle unbounded design problems; develop standards and guiding principles that make design decision-making fast and consistent
Make a whole lot of stuff:
Shape Descript's narrative, support growth efforts, and enhance product launches, all by by producing designs and assets for web, social media, email, events, and more
Enable scale:
Serve as a design partner for external agencies who scale our growth and sales programs
Build relationships : Within the Marketing team and beyond, collaborate thoughtfully, anticipate and address sources of misalignment proactively; mentor other creative marketers
What You Bring
Experience: 10+ years as a Brand Designer, ideally in a start up and/or SaaS setting. Proficiency in marketing technology platforms, operations, and tools, including website CMS and social media formats.
A hunger for going deep:
Desire to learn technical products—and their users—inside and out.
Organizational and communication skills: Proven methods for staying organized, collaborating across functions, and communicating with stakeholders at all levels of a company.
Thoroughness and pragmatism:
A keen eye for detail and craftsmanship without compromising on deadlines; knowing when to find a workable solution, versus the perfect one.
Multitasking ability: Comfort working on multiple projects simultaneously, with the ability to drive and prioritize as needed.
Ownership and initiative: Willingness to take ownership and make progress in the face of ambiguity and dynamism.
The base salary range for this role is$140,000-$180,000. Final offer amounts will carefully consider multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise, and location, and they may vary from the amount above.
