General Purpose of Job:
The Graphic Design Assistant is responsible for producing informational and promotional material for Driscoll Children's Hospital, hospital departments and clinics including design and layout of brochures, newsletters, advertisements, digital graphics, magazines, invitations, flyers, presentations and other projects as deemed appropriate. The Graphic Design Assistant will produce creative and visually compelling graphics that promote our brand message. The Assistant will work with and complement our team of innovative problem-solvers who apply creative concepts to marketing and communications campaigns.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

Reasonable description is not intended to be all-inclusive: employees will perform other reasonably related business duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor and/or hospital administration as required.Maintains utmost level of confidentiality at all times.Adheres to hospital policies and procedures.Demonstrates business practices and personal actions that are ethical and adhere to corporate compliance and integrity guidelines.Strong knowledge and capabilities in graphic design & editing software (Adobe Creative Suite)Develops creative concepts and designs and produces ideas consistent with Driscoll brand for print and digital graphics, advertisements, flyers, presentations, newsletters, magazines, outdoor art and various other collateral materials.Ability to work on multiple projects at a time and prioritize tasksExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesCreative writing and professional editing in accordance with AP Stylebook guidelinesResearches and writes copy for advertising and collateral materialsShoots and edits Photographs as neededOther duties as assigned.Education and/or Experience:
Currently enrolled in or have completed a bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or universityStrong knowledge and capabilities in graphic editing software, i.e Adobe Creative Suite, Keynote, PowerPointPassion for branding and an understanding of brand identity system, Portfolio demonstrates your exceptional design, typography, and solid conceptual thinking skillsDemonstrate soft skills including creativity, empathy, adaptability, resourcefulness, openness to feedback, work ethic, and a general tendency to create and share positivity
