Director of Marketing - Rare Disease
to join my client's exciting and growing marketing team. This person will help drive the commercial success of their key rare disease asset(s). This role requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of the rare disease landscape, as well as the ability to develop and execute marketing strategies that resonate with patients, healthcare professionals, and key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that align with the company’s business objectives and growth targets in the rare disease space.Brand Development:
Lead the creation and management of brand identities for their rare disease products, ensuring consistent messaging across all channels.Market Research:
Conduct thorough market analysis to identify opportunities, trends, and challenges within the rare disease market.Product Launches:
Plan and execute successful product launches, including the development of go-to-market strategies, promotional materials, and educational resources.Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including patients, healthcare professionals, advocacy groups, and industry partners.Digital Marketing:
Oversee the development and execution of digital marketing campaigns, including social media, content marketing, and online advertising.Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Medical Affairs, and Regulatory, to ensure alignment and successful execution of marketing strategies.Budget Management:
Manage marketing budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
Qualifications:Experience:
Minimum of 8-10 years of marketing experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on rare diseases.Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.Expertise:
Deep understanding of the rare disease market, including regulatory requirements, patient advocacy, and market access challenges.Skills:
Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically.Innovation:
A creative and innovative mindset, with a passion for making a difference in the lives of patients with rare diseases.Travel:
Willingness to travel as needed (up to 25%)
