Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join us as the Director of CAR-T Patient Marketing who will play an important role in driving patient and caregiver comfort and openness to CAR-T in the US market. Responsible for the development and pull through of the US Patient Marketing Strategy and Patient Marketing Plan of Action, the Director’s execution of the patient marketing strategy will support the overall US Commercial strategic imperatives and YES/TEC brand strategy. Additionally, the Director is responsible for campaign development and execution, messaging, personal and non-personal tactics, media, advocacy, coordination with US Commercial counterparts, and being a patient marketing subject matter expert. Internally known as a Director of Marketing, this person will also be responsible for gaining buy-in, approval, and endorsement of the strategy as well as communicating and providing updates to senior leadership at Kite.
With a strong understanding of the US market, identifying key dynamics impacting utilization and sharing insights with the cross functional Brand teams to help shape the US strategy, the Director of CAR-T Patient Marketing will operate in a fast-paced environment with high expectations and a patient focus that drives the need for quality deliverables and performance. Reporting to the Executive Director of US Marketing, the Director’s focus will also include planning and implementation of appropriate patient marketing activities.
To develop and foster meaningful connections with stakeholders, we would prefer that this Director be located at Kite’s Santa Monica, California headquarters (3 days per week onsite required) and would provide a generous relocation package as necessary.

of the Director of CAR-T
Patient
Marketing include:
Lead the US Patient Marketing Commercial Strategy in alignment with Brand Marketing (HCP and OMNI)
Translate market research findings into impactful insight, strategies and tactical plans
Lead development, implementation, and measurement of launch campaigns, messaging and tactics
Lead and manage the work of multiple external strategic partners including agency of record and internal departments including marketing, GACO/GDDI, legal, regulatory, medical affairs, and payer/access marketing
Lead projects and materials through the legal, regulatory, and medical review process to final production
Manage marketing cost center budget in coordination with team members as appropriate
Engage often with opinionleaders to develop advocacy and ensure creation of high impact, high value marketing resources and engagement
Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate and 8+ years of experience
OR
Master’s Degree and 10+ years of experience
OR
Bachelor’s Degree and 12+ years of experience
OR
Associate Degree and 14+ years of experience
OR
High School Diploma/GED and 16+ years of experience
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA, or other advanced science Degree
Proven ability to lead marketing and cross-functional teams with excellentinterpersonal skills in order to lead, interact with, resolve conflict and drive consensus among individuals from a variety of cultures and disciplines
Excellent critical thinking skills with ability to formulate, develop, and execute multi-dimensional marketing strategies
Detailed understanding of both the clinical aspects and business of hematology / oncology and cell therapy specifically
Experience in pharma or healthcare
High-level critical thinking with the ability to concisely translate and communicate sophisticated data and concepts to a broad audience
Excellentcommunication skills, highly proficient presenter, able to gain credibility, gain trust and influence at all levels
Experience in developing, reporting, and communicating related marketing metrics
Comfort with uncertainty and demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment under tight timelines and independentlydetermine appropriate action where precedent may not exist
Results-orientation with a bias for action, sense of urgency, and tangible results
Strategic orientation and ability to quickly adapt plans in response to a rapidly evolving market
Demonstrated excellence in project management and effectively leading multiple projects/priorities, set direction, align work efforts, and ensure outstanding execution
Strongunderstanding of legal and regulatory environment in pharmaceutical promotions, pharma industry guidelines, and other compliance-related issues

The salary range for this position is: $201,025.00 - $260,150.00. Kite considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
