Overview
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1. Manages all entertainment/ special event details and responsibilities, including talent buying and contract administrative needs for brand marketing entertainment projects and special events.
2. Maintains detailed and accurate entertainment and special event files and tracks all entertainment and special event financials, including, but not limited to special assignments designated for the Palms.
3. Supervises departmental event support staff and vendor staff, this includes designating workflow through others (i.e. the direction of subordinate employees in performance of work) with accountability to the company Management, for the quantity and quality of work done and assuring efficient and economical work operations.
4. Stays abreast with current industry trends and standards. Works cross-functionally with various departments log to ensure smooth operation of events.
5. Creates and communicates entertainment and special events.
6. Communicates with Audio/Visual Technical staff to ensure production and technical specifications for entertainment and special events are met.
7. Organizes and plans shows/events as needed.
8. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department and assumes other responsibilities, duties, tasks and assignments that contribute to the mitigation or response to any public health emergency.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning reviewing and directing work; evaluating and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Makes hiring decisions and designs individual development plans with succession planning in mind for all key roles.
Education/Experience/Qualifications
Associate's degree required.Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and/or related field preferred.Minimum three (3) years of experience in the entertainment industry with contract knowledge/contract review process preferred.Minimum (2) years of supervisory experience preferred.Experience in the contract review process preferred (both standard and complex).Related, relevant, and/or direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational requirements indicated above.Demonstrated maturity and poise; ability to employ discretion in sensitive situations.Strong organizational and communications skills, with extensive knowledge of entertainment event coordination and excellent attention to detail.Ability to multi-task with strong organizational skills and ability to work well under deadlines is required.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.Strong initiative and solid judgment abilities/skills.Advanced level experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required.Must demonstrate a firm grasp on a variety of entertainment and event tactics, and a willingness to try new tactics if they support the business goals.This position may require occasional commuting to Las Vegas.Certificates/Licenses/Registrations
