Job Description:
Are you available 24/7 and crave greater autonomy and creative expression? Are you well-versed in the dynamics of social media, marketing, and PR with an understanding of the essentials of page growth, storytelling, product promotion, and PR? Are you skilled at engaging with others online in a lively manner (including shit-talking)? If you possess a passion for online communication and can execute our creative ideas into marketing moments to get earned media and social media traction, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
Oversee and implement Social Media campaigns for the Portland Pickles to drive traffic, increase followers, and convert sales, get earned media, as well as execute partnership campaigns with teams, leagues, and other clients.Oversee monthly content calendar with approval/direction from ownership.Copywriting - coming up with and approving creative ideas/text to describe campaigns and initiatives.Content creation - product and lifestyle photography and short-form video content for marketing campaigns and product releases.Oversee quick community management of Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok platforms with responses to DMs and comments.Manage and execute email marketing campaigns via press releases/DMs/emails/messages to align with campaigns.Report on Monthly Analytics Status Update for Portland Pickles accounts.Set and achieve specific KPIs for each social media platform.Work with the team on social media strategy to align with business goals.Oversee digital asset creation to align with marketing - graphic design and video editing.Develop PR strategy to align with the execution of campaigns.Develop relationships with local/national mediaOversee and manage all comments/DMs for social accounts.Oversee posting on all social platforms manually and via scheduling interfaces.Assist in copywriting and content curation.Maintain best practices/crisis management/FAQs.Have an understanding of how to access and analyze social data.Work with COLLiDE to execute all social and newsletter campaigns.Assist in shooting and editing all photos for the online web store, ensuring the store is always up to date.Exhibit a willingness to attend events outside of normal business hours in an effort to capture social media content.Ideate social media activations and/or new concepts.Oversee media/influencer list and invite them to events.Work to execute graphics as requested by the GM or AGM.Perform other duties set forth by the GM and COLLiDE.
Promotions and Event Management:Lead all home stand promotions meetings during the season with the goal of creating unique ideas and events and keeping staff fully informed of activities taking place in the ballpark.Oversee the hiring of a part-time, seasonal graphic design assistant/intern and manage this employee's time within the guidelines set by the budget that has been established.Develop and follow a promotions budget that is established for the year.Oversee the development of all game day promotions and events.Schedule and oversee game day broadcast camera operators and game production team. Ensure adequate video clips for social media.Coordinate all creative, themes, and music with support from COLLiDEEnsure updates to PortlandPickles.com on a daily basis with promotions, game stories, upload group sales flyers, any daily maintenance, ensuring fresh content each day.Coordinate, assign, and execute all sponsorship artwork needs for signage, print, promotion, etc. while providing updates on needs to the sales staff.
Requirements:Live or willing to move to Portland, OR.Enjoys being creative.Adapt to a very fast-paced environment.Experience with PR.Skillful in TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, etc.Self-starter - will take ownership of social media accounts and come to managers with ideas/questions/suggestions to improve.Proven working experience in social media in the sports/entertainment/brand space.Extensive knowledge of sports/must love sports (not the Yankees).Excellent written and verbal communication skills.INCREDIBLE organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.Strong working knowledge of Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides.Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and/or Canva.Good understanding of how to use ChatGPT and other AI platforms.Shopify experience a plus.Proven work experience as a social media manager.Hands-on experience in content management.Excellent copywriting skills.Ability to deliver creative content (text, image, and video).Knowledge of online marketing channels.Familiarity with web design.Likes fun.Knows pop culture.
