Product Marketing Manager to lead our Product Marketing Team at Fanbase. This role will be responsible for positioning, launching, and driving adoption of new features and products while ensuring alignment between marketing, growth, and product development teams. This role requires a blend of marketing expertise, creative direction, and deep cultural awareness, ensuring that Fanbase’s brand and product messaging resonates with the communities that drive culture—particularly Black culture, hip-hop, social media creators, and digital entrepreneurs. The ideal candidate is both a visionary and an executor, equally comfortable crafting strategies and rolling up their sleeves to create compelling visual and marketing campaigns. Key Responsibilities Product Marketing Leadership & Strategy
Lead and manage the Product Marketing Team, developing best-in-class marketing strategies that align with Fanbase’s mission. Define positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies for new products and feature releases. Partner closely with the Growth Strategist to optimize user acquisition, engagement, and retention strategies. Work collaboratively with the Product Development Team, ensuring that marketing efforts align with product roadmaps. Develop and manage marketing roadmaps, aligning key stakeholders and ensuring timely execution. Creative Direction & Cultural Storytelling
Own the visual storytelling and creative execution of product marketing campaigns that feel authentic to the culture and achieve necessary business objectives. Ensure Fanbase's marketing resonates, is persuasive, and generates conversions with creators, artists, musicians, influencers, and Black digital entrepreneurs. Oversee content creation, working with designers, video producers, and content teams to craft compelling visual assets, campaigns, and product explainers. Ensure all marketing materials—from product launch assets to social media content—are on-brand, culturally relevant, and visually impactful and achieve performance targets & objectives. Conceptualize and guide the execution of marketing campaigns that educate and inspire creators. Cultural & Market Insights
Conduct market research and competitive analysis, particularly focusing on how Black culture, hip-hop, entertainment, and digital creators shape online engagement and monetization. Develop customer personas and insights, ensuring marketing strategies address the needs and aspirations of creators from diverse backgrounds. Work closely with data teams to analyze campaign performance, adjusting strategies as needed. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Act as the bridge between product development and product marketing teams. Partner with Growth and Community teams to amplify creator success stories and use cases that highlight cultural influence. Collaborate with Fanbase leadership on strategic marketing initiatives that impact overall business growth. Qualifications & Experience 5+ years of experience in Product Marketing, Creative Direction, or Brand Strategy (preferably in tech, social media, or digital platforms). Proven experience in leading a product marketing team and executing successful go-to-market strategies. Strong background in creative direction and visual marketing, with an eye for compelling design and storytelling. Deep understanding of Black culture, hip-hop, social media, and digital entrepreneurship. Experience collaborating closely with growth strategists and product teams. Solid understanding of digital marketing, social media trends, and the creator economy. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and align teams. Proficiency in using marketing and creative tools such as Notion, Monday, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or other relevant platforms. Bonus Points Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment. A deep understanding of Fanbase’s mission and a passion for supporting creators.
