Job Summary The Center for Leadership is currently seeking a Student Assistant, Program and Event and Marketing. The student assistant will assist the Center's directors with general support in executing program and event logistics as well as assist the Center's team with social media and marketing efforts.Provide support for social media and marketing efforts:Assist with the social media and marketing efforts to promote the Center and its brand.Assist with the management of the Center's marketing and social media accounts.Assist with the design and development of social media posts and campaigns.Assist with maintaining the Center's content and marketing calendar.Track and organize targeted ads, social media campaigns, e-mail blasts, etc.Maintain client records up to date with most relevant information.Keep abreast of industry trends and developments in digital marketing.Provide Program and Event Team support:Completion of operational and logistical activities associated with Center programs, projects, and events.While programs and events are in session, assist coordinators with logistical details and client and faculty needs.Preparation of program materials - copying, packaging, printing, etc.Provide support in the creation of program documents.Tabulation of data collection (evaluations) and organization of information.Assist with maintenance of logs and data.Provide general office support for day-to-day operations.Performs other duties as needed or assigned.Adheres to Center for Leadership and University policies regarding attendance, punctuality, appropriate use of computer internet access, and dress code for the office.
Desired Qualifications Proficient and comfortable working with the Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel). Prefer knowledge of specialized software programs, such as Panthersoft, Adobe Creative Suite, and Canva. Strong verbal and communication skills to engage vendors and other internal or external clients effectively. Capable and willing to follow instructions carefully but show initiative. Highly organized, proactive, energetic, self-motivated, positive attitude and team player without compromising professionalism.
Who May Apply
Students enrolled at FIU, who have been awarded Federal Work Study (FWS) as part of their Financial Aid Award package.Student must be enrolled with a minimum of six (6) credit hours in a course of study leading to a degree or a Financial Aid eligible certificate during Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.Upon credits decreasing, award being canceled, or graduating, FWS employment must end.
Work Schedule Hours will vary based on class schedule and needs of the department.
Advertised Salary $13.00/Hour
