TAX AND ACCOUNTING
WebCE, Inc., the premier provider of training and educational courseware for professionals, is seeking experienced freelance content writers to assist the company's editorial teams in the creation and development of new online educational training materials and the maintenance of existing course materials.
Specifically, we are looking for experienced freelance course content creators with subject matter knowledge and experience in tax and accounting laws and regulations.
We are NOT seeking Blog, Article, or SEO Content Writers.
What You Will Do
Research and write engaging online continuing education instructional content designed to educate and train tax and accounting professionals, using a casual professional tone and writing style
Explain complex tax and accounting topics in ways that are understandable and applicable to adult students
Create interactive exercises, videos, quizzes, infographics, and case studies that are informative and enhance learning and retention
Design content to meet tax and accounting course objectives, regulatory requirements, and student expectations as defined by a WebCE Content Director
Write assessment questions that fairly test a user's grasp of course content
Use WebCE's course templates and style guides
Desired Skill Set
5+ years' experience in the tax and accounting industry (as a licensee, writer, instructor, trainer, education director, course developer, etc.)
Bachelor's degree or higher preferably in English, journalism, communications, law, or tax and accounting; professional degree or professional designation helpful
Ability to meet deadlines
7+ years' experience in creating and developing online or text-based continuing education materials for professionals and adult learners is recommended
7+ years' experience in substantive content editing and writing is recommended
Common Project Parameters
Projects are typically offered under the terms of a formal work-for-hire contract
Projects generally are costed out and paid on a flat fee, per-project basis
Work is performed remotely, from your home workplace
