Role Overview
As the Head of Brand Marketing / VP of Brand Marketing , you will be the steward of our brand, shaping its narrative, strengthening its presence, and driving impact. You will define and execute brand marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with our mission while fostering consumer engagement and long-term loyalty.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy & Storytelling
- Develop and execute a compelling brand marketing strategy that establishes (G2G) as the definitive leader of “clean” beauty.
- Ensure brand consistency across all channels, including “digital”, social, retail, partnerships, and experiential marketing.
- Lead brand storytelling, in collaboration w/ the CEO and Chief Innovation Officer, and consistent with the established brand platform & identity, shaping narratives that resonate with diverse audiences and drive deep emotional connections.
- Monitor industry trends and cultural shifts, leveraging insights to refine storytelling and engagement strategies.
Brand Representation & Innovation
- Act as a bold brand steward, ensuring all brand touchpoints reflect our disruptive, purposeful, mission-driven ethos.
- Consistently explore opportunities to push the brand’s presence, and storytelling, in more relevant & compelling ways, through keen cultural awareness, emerging technology, and evolving social dynamics.
- Lead high-impact partnerships and collaborations that amplify our mission and expand our reach, in accordance with the brand values & commercial strategy.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead a high-performing marketing team across brand, digital, and eCommerce functions.
- Foster a culture of creativity, agility, and data-driven decision-making, cultivating high-confidence/low ego Associates.
- Set clear objectives and KPIs, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and in support of the commercial strategy.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with senior leadership across Commercial, Product, Digital, and Operations to drive cohesive marketing strategies.
- Leverage customer insights, competitive analysis, and data-driven methodologies to optimize marketing initiatives.
- Ensure seamless go-to-market execution with integrated messaging and positioning.
Budgeting & Performance Metrics
- Own and optimize the brand marketing budget, maximizing ROI across initiatives.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and inform strategic decisions.
- Utilize analytics to drive continuous improvement and marketing effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communication or related field.
- 7+ years of marketing leadership experience in beauty, fashion, or luxury consumer goods.
- Proven track record of building and scaling brands, with deep expertise in brand storytelling and consumer engagement.
- Strong background in digital marketing, including SEO, SEM, social media, and content strategy.
- Experience leading influencer marketing, public relations, and strategic partnerships.
- Deep understanding of consumer behavior, cultural trends, and market dynamics.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Exceptional leadership and team-building capabilities, fostering innovation and collaboration.
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Passion for clean beauty, sustainability, and purpose-driven brand building.
