Manager, Field Marketing Americas
The Manager, Field Marketing, Americas role plays a key function as part of the global marketing organization within AAO. The job role has a reasonable level of responsibility, managing important areas with full ownership within the marketing function. The job calls for a "can do" orientation. It will require multiple talents and a willingness to adapt them to changing assignments as required.
We are looking for an experienced B2B Marketing Manager/Specialist to develop and execute marketing strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and lead generation for our technology solutions. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of B2B marketing principles.
The role is a bridge between the Product Management and the Sales force as well as between a regional scope and a 'transversal' function, hence the job requires a strong people orientation and broad global outlook. The role requires the ability to organize and motivate people of other local or remote teams to get things accomplished, ability to be comfortable in a situation where a significant portion of the responsibility for achieving a goal lies in the hands of other, assertiveness, attention to detail, flexibility, change management and good coordination skills.
In this role you'll:
STRATEGY, PLANNING AND BUDGETING.Build and execute the marketing strategy within the targeted customer segments in NORAM and LATAM in cooperation with Global Head of Marketing and Regional Heads of Sales. Develop, implement, and measure results of annual marketing plan for each customer segment in the Americas. Responsible of the yearly marketing budget as well as marketing expenditure in the regionORGANIZATION OF INDUSTRY AND AMADEUS-HOSTED EVENTS.
Plan and deliver customer events. Organization of industry events that include marketing activity, meaning events that include speaking opportunities, sponsorships, participation in panels, organization of workshops, press activity).BRANDING AND POSITIONING.
Define positioning for Amadeus in NORAM and LATAM. Put in place the right channels to collect market feedback internally or externally. Adapt Airport IT value proposition relevant to each market segment and according to desired positioning. Drive branding/awareness/promotional campaigns. Handle sponsorships in relevant publications.COMMUNICATION.
Contribution to content in all communication channels of the Business Unit. Contribution to media activity and press events. Pursue opportunities of publishing interviews in specialized press media. Pursue opportunities of joint communication activities with customers. Maximize usage of internal channels to raise awareness of Airport it internally. Liaison with Brand and Americas Airline units as well as other heads of marketing and communications in NORAM and LATAM as well as with Group Comms to ensure alignment of news, events and messages communicated in the Americas.SUPPORT TO SALES ACTIVITIES.
Produce all materials necessary to the team and the various customer groups to present the benefits of Airport IT solutions: customer-facing presentations, printed/online collateral, etc. Messaging, KSPs, etc. fully aligned with the overall Airport IT value proposition. Secure consistency across the marketing messages and regularly "challenge" the existent marketing materials to ensure freshness of the information. Contribute to the repository of materials for the usage of the sales team to download information and sales materials.Define the product portfolio for the Americas and specific product offer for each customer segment.Collect competitive information & positioning. Define positioning for Amadeus in the AmericasAdapt overall Amadeus' value proposition relevant to each market segment and according to desired positioning within the region. Includes creative route, tagline, messaging, and sales pitch according to customer issues and needs.Conduct industry research and trends analysis.Develop, implement, and measure results of annual marketing plan for each customer segment.Be responsible of the yearly marketing budgeting process as well as marketing expenditure & calculations of overall budget.Production of sales materials necessary to the team to present the benefits of Amadeus' solutions: customer-facing presentations, printed/online collateral, etc. Messaging, KSPs, etc. fully aligned with the overall value proposition.Ensure all materials for the usage of the sales force are uploaded in a repository for American sales team.Creation and execution of yearly industry conference plan to include Negotiation of sponsorship packages and levels of participation, identification of speaking opportunities and coordinating content with speakers.Coordinate Amadeus participants, briefing and follow up of events' results.Drive the whole event planning and delivery processes (logistics, booth arrangements, materials, etc.). Liaison with third party companies supporting the organization of the event: creativity, production, hospitality, creation/production of marketing materials and visuals.This is an individual contributor role.About the ideal candidate:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, hospitality and/or equivalent work experience. Master's degree in marketing preferred.Minimum of 3-5 years previous experience in event management, vendor management, & campaign development required.B2B Marketing experience a plus.Field Marketing experience required.Strong written and verbal communication skills required.Strong leadership and organizational skills are required as this is an individual contributor role.Previous experience working for a global company preferred. Capable of understanding global Company's and industry perspective, translating it into regional strategies, and implementing effectively.Must be able to effectively collaborate with region's leadership and other key partners and remote teams. Able to build trusting, respectful relationships with corporate central departments and regional leadership as well as sales and marketing colleagues.Bilingual English Spanish speaking preferredAdvanced Knowledge of MS office.Travel within NORAM and LATAM will be required 20% total travel- within NORAM & LATAM, Canada (Travel will be mostly NORAM and 1 LATAM trip a year)The position can be placed either in Miami or in Orlando as a preferred location. Will be open to other locations within the US as well.
