The Associate Director of Brand Marketing, reporting to the Sr. VP of Sales and Marketing, is an important leadership role responsible for elevating SHARP's Home Appliance brand presence. This individual will define and execute comprehensive marketing and communication strategies, ensuring a consistent and compelling brand image across all consumer and customer interactions—from digital platforms to physical experiences. Responsibilities include developing semi-annual brand marketing plans, orchestrating impactful campaigns and events, directing our external PR agency, managing the marketing budget, overseeing industry trade shows, and conducting competitive brand benchmarking analysis. Furthermore, the Associate Director will be instrumental in shaping and monitoring SHARP's brand and product perception across all key stakeholders: distribution & retail partners, consumers, internal teams, and the media. By leveraging data-driven insights, he/she will optimize marketing program performance and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, product, legal, and brand) to enhance customer experiences. The Associate Director will lead and mentor two brand marketing professionals dedicated to supporting and strengthening all brand touchpoints. This is an in-office position located in Montvale, NJ, with occasional domestic travel. Responsibilities
Lead all advertising, marketing, and communication initiatives across all channels. Oversee SHARP’s participation in industry and retail buying group trade shows. Develop and execute six-month PR plans, including product reviews, press communications, and analyst engagements. Manage PR agency, PR initiatives and cultivate media relationships. Manage and track the semi-annual marketing budget and oversee the annual brand marketing activity calendar. Develop & execute social media strategies and content across relevant online platforms. Define campaign objectives and deliverables based on stakeholder needs. Monitor campaign timelines and provide regular performance updates to management, including results from retail websites and digital programs. Conduct post-campaign analysis, including ROI, reach, and sales uplift, and share insights with stakeholders. Analyze market trends, shifts in consumer behavior, and customer affinities related to key performance indicators (KPIs). Research the competitive landscape and identify best practices in digital experiences. Analyze data and identify key insights to maximize marketing ROI. Develop and implement data capture and transfer processes for CRM, SCRM, SEO, SEM, and email marketing across all projects. Continuously monitor and analyze the competitive landscape, including promotional tactics and new product launches. Support the implementation of retail consumer campaigns, particularly go-to-market plans for product launches. Coordinate and synchronize marketing plans and promotional efforts across all functions. Manage and direct external brand partnerships and vendors. Recruit, mentor, and develop team members. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or a related field. MBA or other advanced degree a plus. 10+ years of experience in brand strategy & management, including brand positioning, messaging, visual identity and brand architecture. Experience in consumer electronics, appliances, or related fields preferred. Digital marketing expertise across multiple channels, including SEO/SEM, social media marketing, content and email marketing, display advertising, and influencer marketing. Proven experience leading and mentoring a team of professionals to achieve established goals and objectives. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and Google platforms. Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills; ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations. Proven ability to synthesize data into actionable strategies; strong analytical skills. Strong creative and business reporting skills. Contributes to strategic planning. Effective cross-functional partner with sales and marketing teams. Ability to meet deadlines, multitask, and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment. Ability to manage projects effectively and work independently. Proactive, curious, and a creative problem-solver. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences and prepare clear, concise documents. Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills, demonstrating empathy and commitment to stakeholders and customers. Compensation for this position The compensation range for this role is $139,500-175,000. The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, commissions, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
