Impact , specifically making change for animalsQualifications:Strong knowledge and interest in social media platforms, best practices, measurement tools, and current digital trends.Knowledge of equestrian space, including terminology, horse breeds, etc. (preferred)Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Computer, Internet, and social media savvy.Ability to follow and keep abreast of animal welfare developments, specifically equine news, around the country.Strong passion for animal and equine welfare.Excellent organizational skills.Must be able to conceive, draft, proofread and edit written materials.Strong metrics analytical skills.Ability to effectively manage time and schedules.Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of a team.Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.Must be ableto multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment, under tight deadlines.Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs., including domestic animals, and work 8+ hour days.=Displays care and concern for the safety and well-being of self, animals, and others, especially during stressful situations.Able to work collaboratively with other teams who are based around the country.Additional Information:This position is a hybrid on-site/remote role that will work from our 8th Avenue and 92nd Street Offices in New York City at least 2 days/week (with flexibility to work more or fewer days in-office for events as needed).The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, with the ability to work "on-call" during scheduled weekends. Flexibility will required to adjust schedule based on events as needed and occasionally work overtime.The person in this role will travel for conferences and events a few times per year.Compensation & Benefits:Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to education, training, experience, location, business needs, internal equity, market demands or budgeted amount for the role. The target hiring range is for new hire offers only, and staff compensation may increase beyond the maximum hiring range based on performance over time. The maximum of the hiring range is reserved for candidates with the highest qualifications and relevant experience. Education and Work Experience:High School Diploma (Required) Bachelor's degree or equivalent applied work experience required., Minimum of 2+ years relevant work experience in the social media field with documented experience creating content and managing communities on Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, etc., Proficient in Sprout, a Social Media Management tool, or similar management tools.
