Duties
1. Assist Visual Arts Coordinator and Kepler Center Technician in the monitoring and maintaining of the Visual Arts studio spaces.
2. Assist with all operations of the Kepler Gallery including:
3. Installing exhibitions of student work at the close of the fall and spring semesters.
4. Assist with installing student work at local off campus venues.
5. Assist with the on-going efforts to maintain a welcoming and visually engaging environment for the Kepler Center community and all who pass through it.
Special skills needed
1. Student will have a basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Specifically they must be able to create documents in Word.
2. Student will be willing to be trained to use Excel spreadsheets at a basic level, not for computation, only for record keeping and generating labels.
3. Student must be self motivated and able to follow through on assigned tasks without constant direct supervision.
4. Student will have a working knowledge of the tools and equipment housed in the 2D and 3D studios of the Visual Arts Program.
MUST BE A CURRENT HCC STUDENT FOR THE FALL 2024 SEMESTER.
MUST BE ENROLLED IN AT LEAST 6 CREDITS.
UNLESS FIRST-SEMESTER STUDENT, MUST HAVE ATTAINED A 2.0 SEMESTER GPA DURING THE LAST SEMESTER ATTENDED.
