Job Description:
The University of Florida Lastinger Center for Learning’s mission is to improve the quality of teaching, learning, and childcare. We research, develop, and scale equitable educational innovations for adults and children that put all learners on trajectories for lifelong success. Specifically, the Center targets kindergarten readiness, 3rd grade reading proficiency, and algebra proficiency as critical milestones in children's educational trajectory that are predictive of success in school and life. This position is responsible for:
Marketing Strategy & Planning
Manages and develops marketing, advertising, and recruitment strategy for the UF Lastinger Center and its programs.
Observes and documents social, economic, and political trends that may impact the organization, providing insightful recommendations to enhance the organization’s image based on these trends.
Tailors marketing strategies and campaigns based on audience/market analysis, product and organizational details, budget constraints, and marketing goals.
Oversees the planning of marketing materials based on thorough and relevant research to ensure effective messaging.
Marketing Campaigns
Responsible for the development of Center's paid and earned media strategy and campaigns.
Responsible for the Center's marketing, advertising and recruitment campaigns (social, web, email, text, direct mail).
Provides leadership for the Center's marketing and PR related activities. e.g. conferences, tabling events
Management
Coordinates and administers diverse marketing/advertising campaigns to elevate product and organizational presence, aligning closely with overarching organizational objectives. Manages the production of marketing materials with precision, ensures alignment with the strategic plan and maintains a consistent organizational voice. Works collaboratively with various sources to create diverse and impactful publicity methods, ensuring a comprehensive approach to reaching target audiences. Engages with and manages external vendors, takes a leadership role in guiding presentation teams, presenting creative work to clients and administrators with a focus on innovation and persuasion.
Reporting/Analysis
Devise, implement, and evaluate advanced methods and procedures for collecting data, such as surveys, opinion polls, or questionnaires.
Analyzes data to deliver evidence-based decision-making for communication strategies across multiple and diverse platforms and audiences.
Evaluates advertising and promotion programs with a keen eye for compatibility with public relations efforts, contributing to the refinement of strategic initiatives.
Evaluates advertising and promotion programs for alignment with public relations, sales, partnership and recruitment efforts and effectiveness.
Other duties as assigned
Will travel for assigned business purpose minimally.

To achieve this, the Lastinger Center offers a flexible, hybrid work schedule that aligns with the university’s Flexibility in the Workplace Policy. Allowing employees to stagger arrival and departure times as necessary and to vary the number of workdays in the office so long as an employee’s FTE commitment is fulfilled within the university workweek. This policy also allows for occasional, incidental remote work based on individual circumstances.
Expected Salary:
$85,000 - $95,000
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and six years of relevant experience; or an Associate’s degree and eight years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
K-12 Education experience (professional learning programming for educators)
State program marketing experience
Grassroots marketing experience
Trade shows, trade publications
Comfortable in a growing, changing organization
Biliterate in Spanish
