Overview
Project Managers are responsible for the profitable execution of large design-build retrofit projects that focus on MEP/controls/envelope building systems. Initial projects will be in Colorado or surrounding states, with potential future projects in other regions. A typical day for the successful candidate includes: Acting as the primary on-site leader for execution teams on assigned projects. Developing project schedules and ensuring execution according to plan. Managing overall financial performance, including costs, billings, and collections. Evaluating contractual scope of work and interpreting contract terms and conditions. Communicating project progress, issues, and financial status to management. Managing procurement schedules for materials needed for projects. Supporting subcontract procurement and scope of work development. Ensuring project documentation complies with contract and company standards. Overseeing construction for compliance with specifications, codes, and best practices. Assisting in project development efforts, including resource allocation. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture. Minimum of five (5) years of project management experience in the building construction industry. Experience managing complex projects, preferably over $5 million scope. Ability to manage mechanical and/or technical project teams. Experience with mechanical and/or lighting retrofits, building envelope, electrical upgrades, and HVAC controls including BAS systems. Strong communication skills, capable of explaining technical material to non-technical audiences. Proficiency in project management software and financial systems. Technical skills in MS Office, Adobe PDF, and Windows environment. US Citizen and able to pass a government background check for badging and access.
