Minimum QualificationsCollegiate professional with endorsement in special education visual impairment.Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS)Eligible for, or in possession of, appropriate Virginia teaching license.Transcription of student materials as well as continuous walking, carrying, bending, sitting, standing, stooping, lifting, and driving.Work involves risk, at times, from interaction with special needs students, which may include accompanying emotional or physical impairments requiring special techniques.Must use universal precautions at avoiding contagious disease.Employee in this position must display a great deal of flexibility, creativity, and initiative.
