Overview
Own the company-level messaging framework and its evolution in order to position LevelTen as a leader in the energy transition. Collaborate with Product Marketing to ensure alignment of product messaging with overall brand messaging. Work cross-functionally to formulate informed perspectives on emerging issue areas.Executive Platform:
Develop executive platforms for our CEO and other senior leadership team members. Identify thought leadership focus areas, shape their voices, and elevate their prominence by securing speaking opportunities in the media and at industry events, and by generating LinkedIn content.Media & Events Strategy:
Oversee LevelTen’s media program, which drives hundreds of earned stories each year. This includes proactive earned media in the US and Europe, reactive media opportunities, crisis comms, and spokesperson training and prep. Direct our events strategy, secure speaking opportunities at key industry conferences and craft talking points.Internal Communications:
Collaborate closely with our Chief People Officer and other senior leadership team members to establish a new internal communications program that promotes our company values (bias for action, instigating progress, professionalism, and self-belief), ensures clear communication between leadership and employees (including change management), and supports retention and recruitment.D&I Communications:
Build awareness of, participation in, and financial support for LevelTen’s Energy Scholars program, an 8-week educational program for university students aimed at improving diversity within the clean energy industry.Content Marketing:
Oversee content marketing strategy to advance brand and commercial goals through the creation of reports, white papers, blog posts, videos, and other types of content that advance LevelTen’s thought leadership on industry issues and our products.Social Media:
Establish a social media strategy from the ground up, including auditing our existing channels, analyzing our audiences, developing engaging content that balances brand and commercial goals, and determining meaningful metrics of success. Ensure consistency of brand voice across North American and European social media accounts.Team Leadership & Management:
As a leader in the broader Marketing group, you’ll manage an awesome team of three direct and dotted-line employees who will serve as your thought partners and collaborators, and who will also learn from your mentorship and guidance.QualificationsThe ideal candidate has:A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English or a related field.Proven experience (10+ years) in communications, PR, and content marketing in fast-paced settings. Agency experience is strongly preferred.A well-rounded communications skill set, but we have a strong preference for candidates with considerable experience working in PR, brand strategy, and executive thought leadership.Impeccable written and verbal communication skills, and a keen eye for detail.Demonstrated ability to translate commercial and company priorities into communications campaigns.Experience writing about technical and complex issues, and simplifying them for various audiences.Experience creating and executing social media strategy for a B2B audience that tracks to business objectives, with particular emphasis on LinkedIn.Experience developing and executing internal communications programs for employee audiences.Experience managing marketing communications budgets and demonstrating ROI when applicable.Demonstrated ability to tell stories that resonate, and map back to business challenges/objectives.Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.A strong sense of accountability, resourcefulness and creativity, and a problem-solving mindset.A track record of quantifying and reporting on the impact of communication initiatives, and thinking through the full content lifecycle.Comfort and track record of success collaborating with executives without oversight.Excellent executive judgment and presence.Bonus points if you also have:Clean energy experience (solar, wind, battery storage, hydrogen, energy markets)Working proficiency in Spanish, German, Italian or FrenchA great sense of humorThis position is based in Seattle (3 days per week in office/hybrid) and the estimated compensation for this position is $145,000 - $165,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. In addition, this position is eligible for an annual bonus and an equity grant.
