POSITION OVERVIEW:
M² is seeking a talented Graphic Design Manager to join our team. The Graphic Design Manager will report to the Senior Director of Cohort Programs, and work alongside our other Graphic Design Manager. This is a decentralized position, providing design services to a variety of projects and departments in the organization.
Based out of our New York office, the Graphic Design Manager will design and produce educational collateral and promotional materials used at M² programs and seminars. M2 runs multiple programs with dozens of seminars and is known for the high quality of its materials and productions, including digital and print resources, examples of which can be seen here. Leveraging the existing design assets and brand guidance provided by the Marketing team, and upholding our brand identity across various platforms, this person will bring an artistic eye blended with strong technical skills to produce customized seminar material, worksheets and workbooks, presentations, games, creative resources, and more. This role is perfect for a proactive person who thrives in a high-growth, creative and fast-paced environment, is detail-oriented, and interacts easily with people from diverse backgrounds.
Additionally, in alignment with M²'s collaborative ethos, this position entails shared responsibilities across the team for staffing programs and providing logistical support.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Graphic Design and Visual CommunicationDesign Materials: Design and produce new, visually stunning program materials, including games, brochures, handouts, workbooks, and more. Update existing materials as needed.Create Marketing Collateral: Create beautifully designed materials for organizational presentations, conferences, newsletters, reports, social media and other resources, in conjunction with M² team members.Production Oversight: Manage production matrix to guarantee timely and orderly printing of all materials necessary for concurrent projects. Oversee project production, including print management, material selection, color proofing, and other aspects, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining quality control of the final product.Uphold the M² Brand: Maintain brand guidelines to ensure consistency and coherence across all visual elements, including logos, colors, typography, and imageryTeam Work: Work closely and collaboratively with internal team members as well as external clients to understand project requirements and translate concepts into compelling visual solutions that effectively communicate key messages and enhance user experience.Seminar Logistics Support: Travel and actively engage in multi-day seminars alongside other M² team members for up to 20 days annually. Utilize design expertise to enhance program objectives and embody M²'s brand identity and values. Provide additional on-site support as required.SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree is required with a preference to a degree in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field.Minimum 3-4 years of experience in a full time position as a graphic designerProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) as well as proficiency using Apple software such as Pages and Keynote. Working knowledge of Canva, Powerpoint and Google Slides.Additional specialized design skills such as illustration, and videography, are an advantageStrong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects and stylesStrong internal client management skills and willingness to partner with program staff to understand and contribute to the artistic vision for the design assetsComfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple projects simultaneously, while consistently adhering to deadlinesA keen eye for spatial design and aesthetics with an ability to complete projects with exceptional attention to detail and efficiencyFamiliarity with Jewish educational programs and organizations is an advantage, as is the ability to read and write Hebrew.Flexible and adaptable, with a passion for creativity and innovationWHAT M² OFFERS:
