JOB SUMMARY
Assist the business development team in all aspects of quote and proposal development, including interfacing with the business development team, scientific and production teams, project management, finance, and legal. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, proficient communicator (written and verbal) who can effectively translate complex technical concepts and negotiated terms into strong proposals. Must work with a sense of urgency to meet the business development demands necessary to achieve Genezen's growth targets.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Collaborate with scientific team and/or use template documents to write clear, persuasive proposals in support of the business development team objectivesReview requests for quotes and RFPs with business development team to ensure full understanding of client requirementsEdit proposal language according to feedback and to ensure compliance with proposal requirementsDevelop knowledge of Genezen service offerings and both current and potential customersSchedule, coordinate, and participate in business development team proposal reviews, ensuring compliance with requirements and client needs as well as agreed-upon pricing and proposal processesReview and edit content and coordinate with business development team to ensure accuracy of revisionsFormat responses into a professional template in alignment with Genezen's brand standardsPerform a thorough review and quality check of drafts and final proposalsAnticipate, detect, and promote process improvement needs in the maintenance and continued development of key client relationships and proposal processesPromote internal expertise through training and guidance to less experienced staff on interpretation of an RFPOffer suggestions for improvements to templates, processes, etc.Apply communication and interviewing skills to gather needed information from internal and external personnel to support writing activitiesParticipate in prospect and proposal meetings as necessaryTrack and report on RFP deadlines and submitted proposalsSPECIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
