Overview
As part of the MMD Human Resources leadership team, you will work closely with the MMD Managing Director and other MMD division directors to support their vision of making gospel teachings, resources, and services to God's children.
As the Communications Manager for MMD, you will use your creativity, strong communications skills, and excellent project management skills to drive high levels of global employee engagement in these operations. This includes the creation of effective communication materials for use in department intranet pages, email, digital signage, Town Hall events, and other executive engagement programs.
Responsibilities
Creates executive level communication materials for MMD Managing Director, including presentations, monthly email and video messages, Town Hall events, and other executive level materialsManages and maintains department communication channels including intranet, email, digital signage, and live eventsPartner with department leadership to develop and execute the department strategy communication and planWorks collaboratively with internal intellectual property specialists in each division, and the Intellectual Property Office to handle department requests and external facing communications according to Church rules and regulationsMentors and provides training and coaching to department communication specialists in each department divisionOrganize complex concepts and processes into easily understood written and visual presentations, through various communication channels, for Church departments and audiences, to engage and educate with the end goal of creating understanding and alignmentStay current in internal communications best practices, evaluate application for the department, and measure the performance of strategic communications efforts, as applicableQualifications
Required:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in related fieldWork Experience:
8+ years of professional-level communications related experienceDemonstrated Skills & Abilities:
High-level comprehensive communications planning and project management experienceAbility to communicate complex ideas and processes in a simple way- Excellent writing and editing skillsExperience in developing, designing, and executing strategic communication plansExcellent interpersonal skills- Ability to work effectively with associates at all levels of the organizationAbility to understand the needs of varied audiencesExpert in communication development tools and industry-standard technologiesPeople leadership experience and ability to collaborate with a distributed teamProven track record of working with senior level executivesThis job operates in a professional office environmentTo successfully perform the essential functions of the job there may be physical requirements which need to be met such as sitting for long periods of time and using computer monitors/equipmentPreferred Qualifications:
Master's degreeDigital media creation and editing abilities strongly preferred
