Overview
The worship and education pastor is responsible for the planning, development and promotion of music/worship and education programs of the church.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Be present for regularly scheduled church services.
- Assist the Pastor in planning worship services.
- Maintain a music library, materials, supplies and musical instruments. Direct and oversee all choirs.
- Facilitate music experiences through Easter/Christmas cantatas.
- Serve as the overseer of the Sunday school, small groups and Vacation Bible School directors.
- Serve as music resource for Church functions.
- Cooperate with associational, state and denominational organizations.
- Actively participate in church outreach programs.
- Prepare annual budget for Music and Education programs and administer the approved budget.
- Be accountable to the Pastor.
Qualifications:
- Have a testimony that reflects Jesus as Lord and Savior.
- Have a commitment to personal spiritual growth and development. Be willing to model the standards and expectations of staff of Pinecrest Baptist Church.
- College education required.
- 0-5 years minimum experience.
Salary:
$55,000 – $70,000 annual
