Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a strategic vision for the school library program, aligning with HC’s mission and goals.
- Lead the selection, acquisition, and management of diverse library resources, including print, digital, and multimedia materials.
- Collaborate with teachers to design and deliver engaging information literacy instruction and research support.
- Integrate emerging technologies into library services and instruction, promoting digital literacy and innovation.
- Plan and execute engaging library programs and events that foster a love of reading and learning.
- Provide personalized research assistance and guidance to students and faculty.
- Manage the library budget and resources effectively, ensuring optimal utilization.
- Supervise library staff and volunteers, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
- Maintain a welcoming, organized, and technologically advanced library space.
- Act as a passionate advocate for the library program, promoting its value within the school community.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education; Master’s degree in Library Science (MLS) or equivalent preferred.
- Teacher certification preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in library media services, preferably in a high school setting.
- Proven ability to integrate technology into curriculum and research processes.
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and other relevant library and educational technologies.
