Position Summary
The Ad Graphic Designer III independently conceptualizes and executes high-quality graphic materials for print and digital media, working on complex and high-profile projects that require advanced design expertise. This role focuses on high-value work, including new ads, proposals, and renewals, which demand a higher level of design skill and strategic thinking. These projects are more significant in scope and impact than those handled at other levels. The Ad Graphic Designer III serves as a subject matter expert, mentoring junior designers and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality. Complexity at this level includes managing high-impact creative work with strategic importance, solving intricate design challenges, and influencing workflow improvements through innovative solutions.
Essential Duties
- Lead the design and execution of high-profile and complex creative projects.
- Serve as a mentor to junior designers, providing guidance and expertise.
- Leverage advanced software skills to create visually compelling and effective designs.
- Identify, test, and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and quality.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain design consistency and enhance creative impact.
- Demonstrate leadership in fostering collaboration and supporting team development.
Marginal / Non-Essential Duties
- Assist with training and mentoring junior designers.
- Participate in cross-functional design initiatives.
- Contribute to long-term creative strategy development.
- Assist in evaluating new tools and technologies to improve the design process.
Working Relationships
- The Ad Graphic Designer III reports to the Ad Design Manager and does not have any direct reports.
Skill And Knowledge Requirements
- Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and other industry-standard design tools.
- Deep understanding of advanced design techniques, typography, layout, and branding.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to process improvements.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Broad knowledge of department-wide workflows and best practices.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Education Requirements
- Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience Requirements
- 4+ years of relevant design experience.
