OverviewThe Assistant Director, Communications and Technology will contribute to multiple communications, data and assessment projects. It will also assist with technology and reporting tasks. Areas of responsibility will rotate depending on departmental cycles. This is a 2 year benefits eligible term position.Applicants should submit a cover letter and attach three writing and/or multimedia samples with your application. ResponsibilitiesCommunications & Marketing - 75%Collaborate with team members and assist in developing and implementing promotional strategies for events and initiativesProvide copy writing, editing and proofing support of print and digital projects, working with vendors as neededContribute to research, writing and distribution of departmental reports and career development resourcesFulfill update process of career exploration websiteFulfill periodic content updates for departmental websitePopulate email templates for distribution to student groups and campus partners including employers, faculty and staffProvide support for event planning and executionOther projects as assignedAssessment, Data Analysis & Technology - 25%Assist with survey development, distribution, collection, clean-up and analysisContribute to data analysis projects such as coding qualitative data and analyzing trendsConduct research and benchmarking projectsMonitor analytics for websites and develop performance reportsPerform ad hoc data entry in career management system (i.e. Handshake) such as entering event attendeesManage requests for career management system accountsUpdate staff and student worker permissions and profiles as needed in career management system, website and other databases/systemsUpdate email distribution lists
