You will support our Design Studio and Modern Furniture Showroom by assisting with various aspects of the design process, from concept development to project execution. This internship offers a unique chance to work alongside experienced designers, enhance your skills, and contribute to real-world projects.Position TypeWe are seeking part-time fall interns to start in August or early September, with the option to continue through the spring semester. Flexible hours, but a minimum of 14 hours per week during business hours (M-F 9-6, Sat 11-5) is required.Job ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with the design team to develop and refine design concepts for residential and commercial spaces.Assist in creating mood boards, material boards, and presentation materials for client meetings.Participate in site visits, measurements, and installations to ensure design plans are executed accurately.Prepare detailed drawings, floor plans, and renderings using design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.Maintain and organize the materials library, ensuring samples are up-to-date and readily available.Conduct research on design trends, products, and materials to stay current with industry developments.Social Media Creation across multiple company divisions, working under our Digital Marketing Manager.Office Administrative Tasks - helping answer phones, greeting clients, coordinating office breakfasts, restocking supplies, organizing design library, filing, and sending out marketing materialsEvents - support with setup, coordination, and executionErrands - picking up or dropping off design samples, marketing materials, and other items.Required Skills / Knowledge:Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited interior design program.Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.Strong creative and technical skills with an eye for detail and a passion for design.Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.A proactive and positive attitude, eager to learn and contribute to the success of the team.An interest in Real Estate, Interior Design, Hospitality, or Project ManagementProficient in Social Media outlets, specifically video and reel creationProficient in Google SuitePortfolio desired but not requiredCompensation:$16 / hourThis internship qualifies for academic credit as an official university-sanctioned internship; however, disclosure prior to participation is required.If you are interested in this position and meet the above requirements and qualifications, we welcome your application.
