Manager, Internal CommunicationsPrimary Purpose:The Manager, Internal Communications is responsible for developing efforts to bring the company narrative to life for employees through omni-channel approaches to ensure all employees are appropriately informed and seeks to strengthen employee pride in the organization. This position will also support integration planning and onboarding communications for acquired colleagues during M&A activity to ensure a positive experience and successful transition.This role is new to the organization and will have the opportunity to help establish internal communication practices within the company. This role will report directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer.
Essential Functions & Requirements:Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all timesShapes the culture through strategic communications, garnering confidence and excitement around the future vision of the organizationDrives improvements to our communication channels, editorial strategy and pioneers new approaches in support of employee engagement and talent imperativesDevelops and successfully executes communication programs and supporting plans that strengthen colleagues' understanding of business goals, improves cross-functional communications, engages employees, and fosters the overall cultureCollaborates across the organization on the development and execution of employee communication tactics, including Town Hall meetings, leadership team meetings, round tables, and other channels to facilitate connection to the Company's goals and business strategiesPartners with CHRO and Leadership on prioritized global initiatives to develop and execute strategic communication plansDrafts communications that support the organization's readiness for internal and external changes; compiles talking points and provides support for company-wide eventsContributes to team's editorial calendar, proactively looking for ways to drive employee understanding of the company strategy and create a cohesive experience centered in our passion for the services we provide to our customersPartners across the team to work within communication guidelines and pull through appropriate culture messaging and employee storiesProactively seeks out opportunities for organizational leaders to share their stories and further amplify the company narrative; crafts social media strategies on behalf of leaders and manages them to maximize impactDevelops and executes comprehensive communication plan and change management strategies throughout pre-and post-close M&A deal stages to ensure a positive experience for acquired colleaguesInterprets ideas and concepts into easy-to-understand and consistent messages; develops engaging and creative communications for broad and varied audiencesCollaborates with Marketing team to align messaging across all communication channelsPartners with and supports the Human Resources team through communications strategies focused on Employee Value Proposition (EVP), learning and development, performance management, and other initiativesMeasures the effectiveness of communication activities and uses feedback to improve future effortsCompletes other duties as assigned
Education:Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Human Resources, Business Administration or Marketing (required)
Experience:7+ years of experience in corporate internal and executive communications (required)Previous experience developing change management communications, specifically related to merger and acquisition integrations; in-depth knowledge of communication regulations during each stage of a deal (required)
