Thinks, communicates and behaves as a cause-driven leader and role model for other staff and members when it comes to desired staff behaviors; promotes youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility in all job-related functions.Creates and implements short and long-term strategies for successful audience growth across multiple digital platforms in partnership with other YMCA leaders.Leads the development and execution of YMCA of Central Ohio’s media relations strategy, which includes media releases, pitches, responding to media inquiries and preparing teams for interviews.Uses the latest photography/video and content creator tools to capture and communicate impact stories and experiences across the Association.Generates and implements ideas for new visual stories and ads: storyboards concepts, films and conducts interviews, gathers necessary photos and video footage, edits videos to meet the YMCA’s marketing and communication standards and needs.Creates dynamic deliverables which are consistent with our brand voice, style and tone that help convey the heart and soul of what YMCA represents in a way that resonates with audiences and stakeholders alike.Leads the continuation, enhancement and measurement of all digital marketing and earned media strategies and campaigns.Leads and monitors trends of the overall digital marketing and earned media projects. Ability to develop written and visual content, informational articles and effective communications to various audiences. Topics include (but are not limited to) member experiences, news stories, newsletters, website and email.Thinks strategically to plan and drive execution of marketing and communication campaign tactics.Develops and facilitates training to build a culture of storytelling and social media best practices.Ability to work effectively with diverse groups and viewpoints from all social and economic segments of the organization and community. Reports suspicious and inappropriate behaviors. Follows mandated abuse reporting requirements. Adheres to job-specific abuse risk management responsibilities.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in advertising, journalism, marketing, digital media or related field, or equivalent work experience.Minimum of 3-5 years of first-hand experience in digital marketing and public relations or combination of education and experience.Strong business maturity, professionalism, interpersonal, management leadership, analytical, and relationship building skills.Experience working across a paid-earned-owned marketing model and leading PR initiatives for brands and businesses.Experience with analytic and performance tools (i.e. Google Analytics, Meta, etc.).Ability to collaborate as a team and/or work independently.Able to use a digital SLR and proficient in creative content software (Adobe CC, Canva).Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including conceptualizing, writing, proofreading and editing original content and the ability to present to diverse audiences.Passionate belief in the Y’s cause of nurturing the potential of all youth, supporting healthy living for all people and finding ways to help and support our neighbors.Ability to work effectively with diverse groups and viewpoints from all social and economic segments of the organization and community.
