The Opportunity
Marvell is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Communications to join our growing team. In this position, you will play a crucial role in shaping our communication strategies and programs that support Marvell's IT and Cybersecurity organizations. This is an exciting new position that reports directly to Marvell's Associate Vice President, Communications.
What You Can ExpectPrimary ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement communication strategies aligned with the goals and objectives of the IT and Cybersecurity teamsWork closely with senior leadership to identify communication needs and opportunitiesServe as a trusted advisor to IT and Cybersecurity leaders, providing counsel and proactive recommendations on effective communication practicesConsult with Marvell executives to shape messaging and ensure alignment with organizational objectivesCreate comprehensive communication plans covering internal and external communications, crisis communications, and change initiativesProduce high-quality content for various channels, including newsletters, presentations, and internal communicationsUtilize and stay current with generative AI tools and technologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of communication efforts, including content creation, message personalization, and data-driven insightsHelp drive business strategy and priorities by creating engaging and inspiring content and experiences for Marvell employees worldwideDevelop and implement strategies to effectively communicate complex IT and cybersecurity concepts to non-technical audiencesEngage with various stakeholder groups, understand their perspectives, and align communication objectives with the target audienceDevelop and execute crisis communication plans for IT and cybersecurity incidents, and ensure the accurate and timely delivery of information during those incidents to maintain trust and transparency and help shape favorable business outcomesTrack the effectiveness of communication strategies and provide insights to senior leadership so those strategies can be refined based on feedback and performance metricsAnalyze communication metrics and use data to continuously improve communication strategiesSupport organizational announcements and other communications that enable leaders to engage with employees and share timely, relevant business informationDrive business transformation and change management initiativesCollaborate cross-functionally with engineers and cybersecurity SMEs to translate complex technical content into an accessible format that resonates with the target audience.Implement programs and tactics using various channels, such as Marvell's intranet portal, all-employee meetings, manager trainings, and digital communicationsResearch, write, edit, and publish communications to promote and advance IT and Cybersecurity initiatives through multiple platforms (e.g., email, intranet, Slack, video)What We're Looking ForRequired qualificationsBachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or related discipline and 10-15 years of related professional experience.Demonstrated expertise and acumen when communicating to and working with senior executives to provide strategic counsel, clearly articulate ideas, successfully manage different points of view, and build positive relationships and rapportExperience in crisis management and communication, particularly during IT or cybersecurity incidentsDemonstrated ability to craft culturally sensitive communications for a diverse, global workforceExperience with digital communication tools and platformsStrong data analysis skills, with the ability to use data to inform and improve communication strategiesExpertise in thinking strategically and solving communication problemsProficiency in leveraging generative AI technologies to enhance message creation, content optimization, and communication strategiesProficiency in setting criteria to drive and measure resultsStrong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, and a track record of driving collaborative resultsExpertise in forming and contributing to high-performance teamsOutstanding writing, editing and communication skillsStrong technical writing skills with the ability to translate complex IT and cybersecurity concepts into clear, accessible languageCapacity to be highly organized with strong attention to detailAbility to flawlessly manage multiple scheduled projects and consistently meet deadlinesDemonstrated resourcefulness, motivation, and personal initiative
Preferred qualifications:Experience in the semiconductor industryKnowledge of IT and cybersecurity frameworksRelevant industry certifications in IT, cybersecurity, or communications#LI-MC1Expected Base Pay Range (USD)131,360 - 196,800, $ per annum
The successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions.
