Job Title: Technical Writer
Location: Peoria, IL
Salary Range: $63,093.33 - $139,637.34 (depending on experience and role level)
Job Description
We are seeking a Technical Writer with experience in the Forestry, Construction, Mining, or Mechanical Industries to create and update service manuals for forestry machinery and mining products. The ideal candidate will understand technical requirements, adhere to writing guidelines, proofread their content, and incorporate safety warnings, checks, and graphics.
Responsibilities
- Create and update technical manuals for forestry and mining products.
- Understand technical requirements and scope of documents.
- Follow technical writing guidelines and proofread content.
- Incorporate safety warnings, checks, and graphic requirements.
- Create graphics and illustrations as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of forestry/mining products and mechanical assemblies (advantageous).
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 to 6 years of technical writing experience.
- Strong knowledge of technical documentation and CMS tools like Arbortext or Oxygen XML.
- Experience or knowledge in forestry, mining, and mechanical assemblies is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and within a team.
