This role is a 6 month contract position, 40 hours per week.Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborating with product, engineering, QA, and user experience to deliver unified content and design standards.Creating and maintaining design and content style guides.Enforcing brand voice, style, and standards across multiple channels and content types.Working closely with technical writers, user experience designers, and engineers to review technical documentation.Defining and implementing the content strategy for technical documentation.Creating and editing content that team members submit.Working within the editorial budget.Prioritizing work and driving the content deliverable schedule to completion.Creating templates, defining standards, and developing guidelines for technical documentation.Qualifications and Experience
8+ years of experience as an editor–preferably in the software technology industry.Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Experience developing content standards and maintaining a style guide.Experience writing and editing content for the software industry.A proven track record with implementing content standards and strategies.Experience with structured authoring and content reuse.An ability to maintain the highest standards of editorial quality, accuracy, and style.Desired Skills and Experience
Experience writing and editing for diverse audiences (localization and translation).Proficiency with GitHub.US Hourly Range: $48 - $92 USDThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
