Job Summary
The College of Forestry, Wildlife and Environment is seeking a TES employee to provide support to the CFWE Business office and Dean's office. This position will assist with conference planning for an international Cross-Laminated Timber Conference to be held in Auburn, Alabama October 7-9, 2024. This position will also assist with administrative support to include, but not limited to, travel vouchers, purchasing card reconciliation, vendor vouchers, and other administrative duties.
Temporary Employment Services (TES), a unit of the Auburn University
Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center establishedto meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES providesqualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety ofoccupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporaryemployees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being:
Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time
Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads
Assistance with special projects
Seasonal work
Emergencies

Essential Functions
Ability to organize and schedule conference planning meetings/discussions. Provide logistics for conference speakers and sponsors. Assist with setting up online registration and conference website information. Provide administrative support to include travel vouchers, purchasing card reconciliation, vendor vouchers, and associated documents. Will also provide administrative support for Finance, HR, and Admin staff as needed and requested.
Minimum Qualifications
Strong organizational, communications and interpersonal communication skills are required. Attention to detail in their work and personal interactions. The ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and responsibilities independently and within deadlines.
Desired Qualifications
Prior experience in event and conference planning. Experience with Self Service Banner/AU Access, Kronos, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, PeopleAdmin and with AU policies and procedures are desired.
