About the role
The Employee Events Associate will be responsible for end-to-end organization, planning, coordination, and day-of execution for in-person and virtual meetings and events for Equip. As part of the Employee Engagement team, this role will create meaningful experiences for Equipsters that align with our company culture, values, and objectives.
Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and execute internal events ranging from virtual team building to multi-day in-person onsites, ensuring seamless execution and a positive employee experience that aligns with Equip's values and business objectives. Build a playbook of best practices and serve as a consultative thought partner to leaders in helping craft the most effective event experience for their goals and unique team needs. In partnership with Finance, create and manage event budgets, tracking expenses to ensure cost-effective planning. In partnership with People Operations, ensure adherence to company policies including Travel, Accessibility and In-Person Code of Conduct. In partnership with Internal Communications, develop communication and promotional materials to drive employee participation. Oversee all event logistics including vendor selection and management, catering, entertainment and transportation. Own day-of event coordination to ensure a seamless employee experience including running registration and check-in, overseeing event setup, and triaging any employee issues or concerns. Lead post-event survey collection to track engagement metrics and gather feedback to drive continuous improvement and enhance future events. Build out virtual onsite experience at Equip, leveraging virtual onsites as an equally-engaging option for teams. (Proficiency in Splash or similar event planning software encouraged) Provide support to Executive Operations for smaller meetings and events as needed. Provide support to broader Employee Engagement and People team initiatives as needed. Stay current with industry trends to bring fresh and innovative ideas to company events. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
3+ years of experience in corporate event planning with demonstrated experience planning and executing large (300+) in-person corporate events. Exceptional project management skills with the demonstrated ability to manage the planning of multiple events simultaneously. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail. Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail and design. Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle unforeseen challenges. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Benefits

Physical Demands
Work is performed 100% remotely with travel required. This position should anticipate 1-2 work travel events per quarter, typically 2-3 days in length. Must live with immediate access to the airport and reliable transportation. This position requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards as well as to talk or hear by telephone. Sit or stand as needed.
