Job Description We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Truss Designer to join our team. This full-time, on-site position requires a professional with a strong background in wooden truss design and architectural drafting. The successful candidate will collaborate with structural engineers and general contractors to produce accurate and code-compliant truss designs that meet client specifications and project goals.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop wooden trusses for residential and commercial construction projects
Interpret architectural and structural drawings to create precise truss layouts
Ensure all designs meet applicable building codes and industry standards
Communicate effectively with clients, engineers, architects, and construction teams
Provide technical support and excellent customer service throughout the project lifecycle
Review and revise designs based on feedback and site conditions
Maintain high standards of accuracy, quality, and craftsmanship in all deliverables
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in truss design or a related field
Proficiency in truss design software and timber design principles
Strong understanding of architectural and structural drawings
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred)
Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices
