We are seeking an Associate, Business Manager to support the COO Team for the Global Marketing and Global Direct business.
Responsibilities
Drive strategic allocation and oversight of BlackRock's Marketing and Promotion resources.
- Support annual budget planning process in partnership with business management team lead and Financial Planning & Analysis, including aligning on approach, creating budget templates, consolidating team submissions and allocating dollars.
- Lead monthly forecast process in partnership with Financial Planning & Analysis team and various stakeholders to identify and understand variances
- Support adhoc budget requests to ensure that we are utilizing our budget dollars in the most efficient and impactful way and communicating effectively to leadership
- Identify opportunities to better utilize budget dollars and improve efficiency of the budget management process through automation and process improvements.
Drive and support risk management and vendor management processes.
- Ensure accurate ownership of our vendor relationships - re-assign vendor relationship owners and offboard marketing vendors, as needed.
- Lead monthly Oversight and Remediation process by notifying relevant vendor relationship owners, reminding them to complete tasks and supporting questions.
- Partner with RQA Vendor Risk Management team to implement a new KY3P system to enable more efficient management of our vendor risk process.
- Support legal and compliance activities, as needed (e.g. bi-weekly and quarterly registered representative DSP mappings)
Support cross-platform strategic initiatives, talent and culture initiatives and strategic web and digital measurement efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting or relevant work experience preferred
- 3-5 years of financial analysis and/or business management experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational, analytical and research skills
- Team player with ability to work effectively in an environment of change
- Takes initiative, resourceful, quick learner
- Positive and flexible with a "can do" attitude
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills with knowledge of formulas, macros, VBA
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
For New York City and California only the salary range for this position is $95,000 - $125,000. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
