Overview
Work closely with the newsroom to enhance articles, social media, newsletters and audio experiences with custom artwork and templates.On a daily-basis you might:
Use photos, type and vector elements to create bespoke hero images for stories and social posts.On a monthly-basis you might:
Maintain and audit a library of editorial and social templates, creating new templates when needed.On a project-basis you might:
Commission freelance illustrators to create original artwork for podcasts.Requirements
At least 4 years of design experience in a newsroom or other relevant industry.Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, etc.).Ability to manage your time across several workstreams.Data visualization and/or motion design skills are a plus.This role is remote for candidates located in the United States, Canada or the United Kingdom only.The annual base salary range for this role is $95,000.00 - $110,000.00 USD. The total compensation offered for this position may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skills, and location. It may also include non-cash rewards and benefits. The base salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
