Position Summary
This recruitment will be used to fill two part-time (a maximum of 10 hours per week) Ambassador positions for the Design for Social Impact (DSI) undergradaute certificate program at Oregon State University (OSU). Positions are open until filled and we'll be hiring for a late spring term start.
The DSI program is now accepting Ambassador applications. Ambassadors are current OSU students who host information sessions on campus, represent DSI at on-campus and off-campus recruiting and Alumni events, and connect with prospective DSI students and families.
DSI Ambassadors are paid employees. Hours vary, but a minimum of two hours per week (20 hours per term) can be expected. Most ambassadors work regular weekly hours as well as additional event hours throughout the term. Student work schedules are flexible each term.

Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term

Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*
*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered "full-time" by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
Ambassadors must be available to work during the 2024-2025 academic year (including summer 2024)Ambassadors must be both professional and personable with clear and efficient communication skillsAmbassadors must be reliable and dependable with the ability to manage their time and schedule effectivelyAmbassadors must be available to host at least one information session per week, which is approximately a 1-hour shiftAmbassadors must make themselves available for as many of the OSU open house visit days and other recruiting events as possible (exceptions will be granted for class schedule conflicts and special circumstances)Ambassadors must be willing to attend additional events, which can be on campus, off-campus, or virtual over Zoom, and includes recruiting and alumni events
