Position SummaryThis position

is responsible for providing marketing support services to the in house advertising agency which services Greensboro Coliseum Complex events and equally supports marketing initiatives of the department, group sales and other special promotions. This position works with facility users on event media planning and negotiation, which includes the creation of promotions and execution of marketing campaign elements, as directed. This position reports to the

Marketing Manager.

This role pays an hourly wage of $22 to $27.

About the VenueThe Greensboro Coliseum Complex is a versatile multi-building facility that serves the community of Greensboro and its surrounding areas.

It hosts a wide array of events, such as athletic competitions, cultural arts showcases, concerts, theater performances, educational activities, fairs, exhibits, as well as public and private gatherings, including conventions, convocations, trade shows, and consumer shows. It plays a crucial role as a hub of community activities and significantly contributes to the regional economy.

The Complex is made up of nine venues, the largest being the renowned 22,000-seat Greensboro Coliseum, which has a storied history of hosting prestigious ACC and NCAA basketball championships, and a concert history featuring legendary artists like Paul McCartney, Garth Brooks, and Elvis Presley, as well as today’s biggest artists like Drake, Bad Bunny, and Taylor Swift.

As one of the most actively booked facilities in the country, the Greensboro Coliseum Complex annually hosts over 1,100 events. Its extraordinary flexibility and reputation have earned it worldwide acclaim among promoters, producers, event planners, and patrons alike.

ResponsibilitiesThe following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this classification. They are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, skills required of employees so classified.

Maintains and supports social media marketing efforts to include promotions and contests event alertsand updates on Facebook, YouTube, answer lines and other networking media.

Performs Graphic design of group fliers, ads, handbills, LED messages, brochures and other printed material. Works on website updates daily.

Maintains data bases for group sales and traditional ticket purchasers and administrates e-mail marketing campaigns and customer service notifications utilizing databases.

Plan, review and implement advertising campaigns for Greensboro Coliseum Complex events, clients and others.

Purchase showadvertising and records both group and advertising settlements including order forms, invoices, memobills, promotional recaps and tear sheets for use in event settlement.

Assist the Public Relations Manager with live promo events at radio stations, television entertainmentand news organizations.

Assists with onsite media broadcast prior to and during events.

Assists with meet and greets involving cast members and show personnel.

Coordinates intern schedules and street team marketing efforts.

Other duties and responsabilities as assigned.

QualificationsCOMPETENCIES REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION: Working knowledge of website updates, database management, computer software packages including Microsoft Office, Creative Suite and social media including but not limited to YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Linkedln. Must possess strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently on projects. Must be detail oriented and possess strong organizational skills. Ability to adapt to multi-taskand constatnly changing deadlines. Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with other divisions within the facility, clientele and the general public.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED BY STATUTE OR REGULATION: Driver's License Required

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED: General office equipment including copier, fax, computer, telephone, two way radios, ipad, marquee laptop.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: The minimum amount of formal education typically required to be hired for/promoted into the position. The minimum amount of working time, beyond education (or equivalent), required to be hired for/promoted into the position. Education:
