Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Marketing Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of paid and owned media, communications, events, shopper marketing, and public relations for our growing frozen confections CPG brand. This role is critical in driving brand growth and will report directly to the CMO.The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the CPG industry, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment. The Senior Marketing Manager will work closely with the brand marketing team and other cross-functional partners to develop and execute innovative marketing strategies that align with our brand's objectives.Key Responsibilities:Leadership & Team Management:

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of marketing professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Manage external agencies and ensure seamless integration of all marketing activities.Media Strategy:

Oversee the development and execution of paid and owned media strategies across all channels, ensuring optimal media mix and alignment with brand goals. Analyze media performance and optimize campaigns to drive ROI.Communications & PR:

Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies, including public relations initiatives, to enhance brand visibility and reputation. Serve as a key spokesperson for the brand when needed.Events & Shopper Marketing:

Lead the planning and execution of brand events, both in-person and virtual, to engage consumers and drive brand loyalty. Collaborate with sales and retail teams to create effective shopper marketing programs that drive in-store and online sales.Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with the brand marketing team and other departments, including sales, product development, and finance, to ensure cohesive and aligned marketing efforts.Budget Management:

Oversee the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize impact and ROI. Monitor expenditures and provide regular financial updates to the CMO.Brand Stewardship:

Serve as a brand guardian, ensuring all marketing activities are consistent with the brand’s vision, voice, and guidelines.Innovation & Continuous Improvement:

Stay current with industry trends, consumer insights, and competitive activity. Proactively identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in marketing strategies and tactics.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.5-7 years of marketing experience in the CPG industry, with a focus on media, communications, and shopper marketing.Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing and developing teams.Strong experience in managing external agencies and partners.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a high level of autonomy.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive decision-making.Willingness to travel up to 25% to the headquarters in the Greater Minneapolis Area.
