Jenkins Center Communications Coordinator
The Jenkins Center Communications Coordinator manages communications for the Jenkins Center and reports to the Director of Jenkins Center for the Christian Understanding of Islam.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:The following responsibilities and tasks and essential to the job:Designs and implements a social media strategy for missions mobilization in cooperation with the DirectorMaintains the Jenkins Center webpagesProvides social media and other communication support for Center campus eventsPromotes local outreach and ministry opportunities to studentsCollects, assesses, and reports on the Center’s impact on the Boyce-Southern communityPerforms other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of the Jenkins CenterREQUISITE JOB SKILLS:The successful applicant will show evidence of the following skills:Ability to work as a team member; follow in grace, lead when appropriateExperience with creating web contentExperience in social Media platform use and strategies, especially Twitter and InstagramGraphic Design skills helpful, but not requiredEDUCATION:The person in this position should hold a College or Masters’ degree, or be pursuing either, preferably at Southern Seminary.EXPERIENCE:The person in this position should have mission experience.
