Position Summary:

The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing effective marketing and advertising strategies. This role is crucial in managing events, fostering partnerships, and driving promotional activities to enhance brand presence and achieve business objectives. The Marketing Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive and impactful marketing initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:Build and manage multichannel marketing strategies and operational plans to continually increase brand awareness and engagement.Manage NSBE’s marketing portal and serve as lead project manager for marketing projects.Manage, and lead marketing efforts for MarComm Zones for Annual Convention and all conferences (NLC, PDC, RLC, FRC) and programs including SEEK.Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate the organization’s marketing strategies and campaigns.Work with cross-functional teams to develop and launch new products and campaigns, while coaching and developing usersAnalyze and report on marketing metrics to measure success and identify areas for improvement.Enhance website to be visually compelling and deliver an engaging user experience, manage website collaboration and creative design componentsCreate and/or oversee the creation of marketing materials including website content, banners, email campaigns, direct mailings, promotional items, etc.Support the Communications Manager in managing the organization’s social media presence.Represent the marketing team in meetings with current and potential corporate partners, as needed.Work closely with other Marketing & Communications team members to generate new ideas and strategies.Conduct market research to implement new platforms (DAM systems, E-Store, CRM systems)Responsible for the vendor RFP process, selection and management, including but not limited to Convention, PDC, FRC, general marketing.Implement systems and processes to make marketing efforts more seamlessCollaborating & reporting to Senior Leadership and Executive Leadership teams.Provide training on all marketing and digital platforms (Canva, HubSpot, Air, Marketing Portal)Manages all department contracts (proofreading, uploading, meeting with contracts manager, etc)Develop and monitor metrics to measure the organization’s marketing efforts.Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

Attend conventions, conferences, and trade shows as needed; prepare post-event reports and analyses.Assign duties and monitor the quality of work; ensure staff adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and government regulations.Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing or another related field.Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in marketing, sales, growth strategies, advertising, and/or digital marketing.Strong social media savvy (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc.)Strong computer skills including Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Access) and project management software.Familiar with marketing solutions such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Hubspot and Feathr, is a plusStrong project management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to establish and maintain relationships (internal and external) is extremely important.Excellent time management and organizational skills.Self-motivated and have a heart to move the organization and mission forward.Comfort and confidence working under pressure of deadlines and on multiple priorities at once.Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.High level of creativity and creative thinking.Ability to work with, analyze, and understand data.

TRAVEL:

Travel is required for the Annual National Convention, Fall Regional Conferences, National Transition and Leadership Conferences. Occasional travel to other conferences, chapters, and other industry- related events may be required and assigned by management.
