The Content Marketing Strategy Manager will spearhead a comprehensive, goal-driven storytelling approach that resonates across all channels, leveraging an omnichannel marketing strategy. They will strategically disseminate stories showcasing U of I students, employees and initiatives to internal and external stakeholders, fostering a strong Vandal culture and reinforcing the university’s brand. This role will articulate U of I’s upward trajectory and cultivate ongoing narratives that engage audiences, spark meaningful conversations, and deepen understanding of the question: What does it mean to be a Vandal?

The incumbent will orchestrate U of I narrative that can land strategically across communications and marketing channels to the Vandal family (including internal and external), news agencies and media outlets.Duties may include:

Develop and maintain a centrally led, college-driven quarterly storytelling planConsult and collaborate with college-level communicatorsDevelop and edit media across multiple platformsMeasure, analyze and report all story metrics and engagementThree years developing marketing and communication contentHandling a variety of deadline-driven projects simultaneously that require attention to detailRequired Education

Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, journalism or graphic design; four additional years of experience (for a total of seven) may substitute for a Bachelor’s DegreeRequired Other
